For several years I taught a workshop I developed called Embracing Our Sensual Selves. In the afternoon I brought in a panel of men who would answer any questions the women had about men... on ANY topic. It was eye-opening for all of us... including the men.
Then the men asked for the same workshop, but with a panel of women. One man was so pleased with what he had learned he got down on his knee and thanked me and the panel of women.
Because the men were telling me things I never knew before, I was compelled to write a book so women everywhere could learn what they had revealed to me. That's when I publishes my best-selling book, Men Made Easy, and practically overnight, I became the nation's female expert on men.
I traveled the country doing hundreds of radio and TV interviews, speaking in book stores in every major and many not-so-major cities from the west coast to the east coast and back.
Through my books, workshops, articles, videos and public speaking engagements, I continue to share what I have learned about men so women can create romantic relationships that will be filled with love forever.
Why The Heart Whisperer?
Why do I call myself the Heart Whisperer? Well, for as long as I can remember, I've believed that the reason we have any kind of difficulty in our lives has something to do with how open our hearts are to life and to love.
In teaching very deep personal discovery workshops over the course of many years--where our goal was to unearth our core wounding and then see how that colors our lives--I realized that we close our hearts down a little bit each time we are hurt.
Once we discover our core wounding and how it has affected our lives, we can then step back and see how that belief was implanted by a tiny child, who had not yet developed reason or wisdom. A tiny child can only make sense of what is happening from a very narrow perspective. |
That child, depending on how much love or hurt it lives with, begins to believe certain things about itself, especially how lovable it is. The more it needs to protect itself from the painful experiences of life, the more it will shut down it's heart.
With the perspective of the adult who can see how the child was only doing the best it could with the limited resources it had, we can then go back and determine what's true... that we are lovable, that we are smart, that we are capable to live the life our hearts ache for.
Because all of this is beneath the surface of our consciousness, it goes unnoticed. But I believe the reason we are on this earth is to learn to love fully and completely. That deep drive is there, omnipresent, no matter how deeply it is buried. But it is constantly striving to reach the surface, seeking the light of your true essence... and thus, it is a whisper. Felt almost more than heard.
My job is to help people bring that whisper up to an audible voice... and eventually give it such joyous clarity that we can stand on the mountaintop, arms stretched wide, screaming to the world, "I am worthy of a beautiful life filled with love." I have lived a blessed life. Not because I haven't had challenges because I have had many. In particular, I never knew my father. That is enough to color any child's beliefs about herself.
My life has been blessed because I stepped on to the path of self-discovery and self-improvement. There is nothing more important because with each new challenge there is a lesson to be learned. And each lesson learned brings us closer to the expression of our full essence, glowing and ready to embrace love and life.
