The goal of this game is to give parents a way to talk to their kids without seeming to pry. If you set it up as a game, then they’ll be more likely to want to participate. The most important thing to understand is the more vulnerable and honest you are with your answers, the more they will trust you, feel safe, and share what’s going on with them.

It is essential that if they reveal something that upsets you, that you DO NOT reprimand or judge them. The better thing to do is to ask them if they know it was wrong, and what they recommend be done about it. The biggest problem as children get older is the communication stops. That can lead to disastrous results. This game it to open those channels of communication so they can come to you for advice and support.
